    I have this model and I really like it... It is really quiet and most of all practical... And a hassle free car to own...but my car is one year old... Let's see how well it does after 5 years..

    My 1996 SE.G Corolla still doing great, Corolla is one of the most reliable car from my experience.
    I bought this model ( 2020 1.8 G) and happy with it too.

    bought this new unit Corolla G spec (2023 model) at just 84k otr in Lgkw. No complain at all for this price point. Not too fast, not too slow. Just nice for daily ride. Fuel consumption around 14-16 km/l for city usage. Very impressive handling and solid build quality make this car very comfortable for long ride. Smooth, serene & silent is what u get when choose Corolla.

    A suprising and obviously disappointing down side of the G is the lack of charging ports at the second row seat.
    And why can't the corolla be given a variant of the 2.0 dynamic force.
    I'm sure many Corolla fans will appreciate a more powerful engine.
    Anyway, a good review.

    thank you for this car review, there is not much reviews on this car model 2024. you are very right. most people dont know or see the real value of this car. from our 2014 corolla altis we got the 2024 grs-G variant here in the Philippines and its really a big jump over all. hoping this car gets more generations to come.

      We've found this new thumbnail format draws the eye better. Our original format, with the pillar, didn't work well. Our updated one with orange text did better. But this one works best.

    Rear suspension of Corolla is double wishbone vs Civic's multi-link, which one is better for comfort?
    I have a bad spine with slip disc injury, and driving through bumps and potholes are like a world of pain. Which sedan is better? Civic's ground clearance is too low.

    • @MalaysianMotoring

      The Corolla is the far, far more comfortable car of the two. Don't get the GR Sport, just the regular G will do fine.

    • @edrikmercado5045
      @edrikmercado5045 3 месяца назад +1

      we got the GR-S G variant. there is lumbar support on the drivers seat.... very nice and adds big points for us. it feels like you can drive all day with it.

  • @Rich9107

    I have one in black that is 4 years old, the only thing that sucks is the Head unit. Waiting for warranty to expire then can upgrade.
    Aside that everyword said is true, totally comfortable and decently sporty. It definitely handles corners and potholes better than a Mazda 3 and Honda Civic. I take my Corolla as a prelude to higher class cars, preparing me for what to expect.

  • @kennut
    @kennut 7 месяцев назад +1

    Between this and the extra 5k GRS, whats your take?

    • @MalaysianMotoring
      @MalaysianMotoring  7 месяцев назад +3

      If you're a keen driver, get the GRS. If you're not, save the difference. But if you drive plenty, we'd advise the GRS as it benefits from excellent grip thanks to those tyres, but to the detriment of fuel economy (to the tune of 5%-10% at most).

      Thats how these Japanese brands got their “Reliable” badge. Just use dated but proven parts as much as they possibly can. Just update the design to charge buyers more.
      Now we will see how they will compete against Chinese makers with tons of features with much lower pricetag.

    • @KajianTemp

      That's because it works after all that time. That's Toyota's method: tried and true, not new and possibly unproven.

      So? If engine is good no need for ruin it with all new compilicated tehnology. Its like Mazda 2.5l motor, old but bulletprof and still great economy. But people is falling on those markeing tricks with new engines wich at the end of the day maybe save you like 0,5l petrol and are far more unrealible.

      Thailand gets it. Why don't we?
      It is like we are still third world country and they still dumping old tech on us but charging high price still.
      And dynamic force engine has been around for many years, not exactly new. What is stopping Toyota Malaysia from giving us this new engine?
      At least give an option to choose it?
